The Texas Independence Day weekend kicks off with the appearance of author, speaker Hank Moore in Downtown Friendswood.
Moore will speak on Thursday, March 2, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at Dunn Brothers Coffee at 201 South Friendswood Drive.
Moore has spoken on business topics internationally, sharing the stage with Peter Drucker, Bill Gates, Tom Peters, Steven Covey, Tony Robbins and W. Edwards Deming.
He has authored nine books, some on business and the three latest in his Legends series. As an avid historian and pop culture guru, his Legends books include “Houston Legends,” “Non-Profit Legends” and “Pop Icons and Business Legends.”
The Legends books embrace the past, with direct relationship to the future.
Appearing at Dunn Brothers Coffee on March 2, which is Texas Independence Day, Moore will discuss Houston area legends, such as Ima Hogg, George Mitchell, Ben Love, Red Adair, George R. Brown, Gus & Lyndall Wortham and John & Nellie Connally, all of whom he knew.

Moore has wowed the area twice at the Friendswood Chamber of Commerce, and his stories and motivational talk will set the tone for an exciting weekend in Friendswood celebrating the Texas holiday.
Moore has worked with and advised hundreds of non-profit organizations, including charities, educational institutions, public sector entities, associations and corporate citizenship programs. He has won lifetime achievement awards for leadership.
“Non-Profit Legends” is the first overview book on serving communities and motivating leadership. Hank’s books “Pop Icons and Business Legends” and “Houston Legends” have been nominated for the Pulitzer Prize.
He is also a recognized authority on pop culture, entertainment history, and music. Moore has been inducted into seven halls of fame, including the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame, the U.S. Business Hall of Fame, the United National International Humanitarian Hall of Fame and others.
