Pearland is targeting people who have outstanding warrants.
It is all part of the 11th Annual Texas Warrant Round-Up event.
The Pearland Municipal Court and the Pearland Police Department have joined other regional participants in the search which began in late February.
The City of Pearland is among more than 300 jurisdictions across Texas who are participating.
The City of Pearland Municipal Courts have thousands of active warrants which need clearing and Municipal Court officials are encouraging defendants to take advantage of the payment options available to settle outstanding warrants.
No amnesty is being offered in conjunction with the Round-Up effort.
Pearland Police Department officers have reported they have aggressively targeted those persons on the warrant list and arrests can take place at any location, including the defendant’s home, school or workplace.
Notices have been mailed to all defendants with active warrants pending against them.
Payments can be made in four ways.
People can go online at pearlandtx.gov/court and can pay in person at the Municipal Court located at 2555 Cullen Parkway in Pearland, Texas.
Payments can also be made over the phone at 281-997-5903 or 281-997-5908. Payments can also be mailed to the Pearland Municipal Court at P.O. Box 84609, Pearland, Texas 77584.
