Youth Art Walk runs through March 31

March is Youth Art Month in Pearland and the annual Youth Art Month Art Walk is underway at local businesses in the city. Participating businesses serve as art galleries for student art.

The annual event is sponsored by Pearland ISD and will run through March 31.

The community can view artwork at the following businesses during normal business hours throughout the month: Brooke’s Boutique, Choice Engraving, Dr. Wendy S. Willet Orthodontics for Children and Adults, Farmers Insurance Sally Mercer Agency, Firestone (9530 W. Broadway), Gulf Coast Educators FCU (8000 Broadway), Gulf Coast Educators FCU (1819 E. Broadway), and HomeTown Bank of Pearland.

Additional businesses serving as art galleries include Lollipop Children’s Boutique and Consignment, Once Upon a Child Pearland, Pear Tree Medical, Pearland Chamber of Commerce, Pearland Convention & Visitors Bureau, Pearland ISD Education Support Center, Pearland Library, a Branch of Brazoria County Library Systems, Pearland Lumber and Ace Hardware, Pearland Recreation Center, Pearland State Bank, and SpringHill Suites Marriott.

In addition, several PISD campuses are hosting special art events open to the public this month.

For the month, art will be on display at Alexander Middle School, Pearland High School, Glenda Dawson High School, Magnolia Elementary, and Turner College and Career High School.

On March 30, Berry Miller Junior High will host an Art Show and Sidewalk Chalk Art from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
