Robert Allen Bludworth, 93, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017 in Houston. Robert was born on July 20, 1923 in San Antonio, TX to parents, Richard and Lenora (Bond) Bludworth. He married the love of his life, Betty Alice Robinson, in 1955 in Houston, TX. His love for his country was shown as he proudly served in the United States Navy for two years. Along with his brother Richard, they developed the Bludworth ATB ocean tug barge connection system during the 1960’s. He had an audacious confidence and bravado personality about him that gave him the ability to hold attention in a room full of people. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, traveling, and just enjoying the beautiful scenery. He had a great love for all animals with all personalities, even his last dog Benji who was stubborn and never obeyed him once. But Robert adored him anyway! He treasured his family, created many cherished memories, and left behind a legacy of great personal and professional accomplishments. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lenora Bludworth; daughter, Leslie Karen “K.K.” Bludworth; sister, Alethea “Pat” Brozovich; brother, Richard Bludworth; and his brother in law, Joe Childers.
