The third annual Pearland Travel Rally Picnic will be Friday, May 12, starting at 11 a.m. at Pearland Town Center Event Pavilion.
This event is set each year to coincide with National Travel and Tourism Week May 7-13.
The hospitality and tourism industry and its economic impact on the Pearland community will be recognized at the picnic.
The Pear-Scape Art Sculpture Trail project will also be celebrated. A special interactive surprise is part of the picnic ceremonies.
Following lunch, an awards ceremony will be held.

Travel Rally Day, Tuesday, May 9, is a concerted effort to demonstrate travel’s positive impact on local workers, businesses, economics, and on the personal lives of travelers. It’s the industry’s chance to unite the local travel communities nationwide and publicly represent the importance of travel to media and elected officials.
