Early voting in run-off election begins May 30

Early voting by personal appearance begins May 30 in the run-off elections for both mayor and City Council Position 7.

Incumbent Mayor Tom Reid is running against Quentin Wiltz after neither candidate received 50 percent or more of the votes in the May 6 election.

Reid received 48.85 percent of the votes and Wiltz received 45.64 percent.

Running for Council Position 7 will be Dalia Kasseb and Woody Owens. Six candidates ran in the May 6 election for this position. Kasseb received 40.78 percent of votes and Owens received 21.05 percent.

Early voting will run from May 30 to June 6 and will be held at three locations. Early voting will take place at Pearland East Branch location at Tom Reid (Pearland) Library at 3522 Liberty Drive; Pearland West Branch Location at Public Safety Building at 2555 Cullen Blvd, and at Pearland Shadow Creek Location at Pearland Westside Library at 2803 Business Center Dr. #101.

Times include May 30-June 2 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; June 3 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and June 5-6 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Election Day is June 10 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Brazoria County Election Day Voting Centers include Drainage District # 4 Building, 4805 W. Broadway; Pearland Recreation Center, 4141 Bailey Rd., Public Safety Building, 2555 Cullen Blvd., Tom Reid (Pearland) Library, 3522 Liberty Dr., Shadycrest Baptist Church, 3107 Yost Blvd., and Pearland Westside Library, 2803 Business Center Dr. #101.
