FDFA to offer Night of Culture

The community of Friendswood is invited for “A Night Of Culture and Cuisine” May 20 at 8 p.m. at Centennial Park in the Evelyn B. Newman Amphitheater. The event has a free lawn admission for performances. Blankets and picnics are welcome.

Hosted by Friendswood of Downtown Friendswood (FDFA), the event will offer a special performance by the Friendswood High School Wind Ensemble and the Friendswood Contemporary Ballet. The ensemble will be performing their most popular selections from ET, The Incredibles, Star Wars, West Side Story and more under the stars.

The ballet troupe will perform Provenience with music by Sleeping at Last.

While lawn admission is free for the performances, there will be VIP dining and seating for $75 per person. VIP ticket includes pre-event hors d’oeuvre selection at Brasserie 1895, shuttle ride to the amphitheater, reserved seating, beer and wine at event, and shuttle return to Brasserie for dessert.

FDFA has partnered with Friendswood Contemporary Ballet, FHS, Brasserie 1895 and Friendswood Fine Arts to host the event.
