The painted pears that were created for the Pear-Scape Art Sculpture Trail are being installed in various locations around the City of Pearland.
The pears are being deployed according to a schedule with weather permitting.
The first two pieces of pear art were installed June 1 and 2 at King’s Biergarten, who sponsored it, and Bakfish Brewing Company with sponsor DSL Construction and Design.
The pear for Zychlinski Park will be installed June 8. This placement is sponsored by Pearland Historical Society and Grand Cornerstone Cultural Arts Center.
City Hall Gazebo will get its art pear June 12. Sponsors for the Gold Community Pear are Kroger, Greg Hill and Trent Perez.
Southdown Park will get its pear around June 15. It’s sponsors are Comfort Suites, Keep Pearland Beautiful, SpringHill Suites by Marriott/Hampton Inn by Hilton, Keller Williams, and A&A Cleaning.
On June 19 and 20, pears will be installed at Hilton Garden Inn who sponsored it, Reflection Bay Event Center who sponsored it, and Country Place in the golf course area.
Pearland Town Center will get their pear around June 22. Their sponsors are Pearland Town Center, Triad Retail Construction, and Project Paint a Pear.
Independence Park will get their art pear approximately June 26 with sponsors Pearland Animal Hospital, an anonymous donor, and Pearland Medical Center.
Envisioned by the Pearland Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Pear-Scape Trail features artistic 4-foot size fiberglass “pears” painted by local artists positioned throughout the City.
The mission is to promote tourist related activity within Pearland in developing a public Pear Art Sculpture Trail as a cultural tourism attraction.
