Reid, Owens win in runoff election

Tom Reid has been reelected as Mayor and Woody Owens has been elected to Position 7 of the Pearland City Council as a result of a runoff election in Pearland June 10.

The unofficial results have been posted.

Reid received 7,960 votes (59.37%), while opponent Quentin Wiltz received 5,447 votes (40.63%).

Owens received 7,723 votes (58.30%), while Dalia Kasseb received 5,524 votes (41.70%).
The totals do not include provisional ballots voted. The official tabulation will be available on Monday, June 19.

Election details have been posted on the Brazoria County website.

Both Reid and Owens will be sworn into their positions at a Special Meeting of Council Monday, June 19, 2017 at 6 pm. At that time, the runoff election votes will be canvassed.
