Manvel Antiques and Home Décor, newly opened, has hosted its first open house and had Chamber Ribbon Cuttings to introduce itself to the area.
Its location is 20535 Hwy. 6, Ste. C in Manvel.
The Friendswood Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting recently at the store. Along with owner Patsy Bennett, Chamber President Carol Marcantel and Vice President Lucy Woltz were joined by State Representative Greg Bonnen, MD, Ambassador Team Members Fay Picard, Mike Marcantel, and Robert Rinehart, AFMC Press’ Frank Urbanic, County Commissioner Representative Ryan Cahill, Membership Coordinator Diane Hass, Friendswood Senior Center’s Mona Palmer, Minuteman Press reps and Welcome Wagon’s Marisa Folse.
Bennett and her staff have a large collection of antique furniture and home décor.
“Shabby chic is our specialty. Our shop debuts some favorites and we have many more pieces in our office warehouse,” Bennett said. “We hope our customers will ask if they don’t see things they are looking for so we can go to the warehouse and get what they need.”
Classes will also be offered at the store. Kathy White, a furniture painting teacher is offering chalk clay paint classes. The next classes offered are for two hours on Saturday, June 24 at 10:30 a.m. Cost is $75.
