Friendswood attorney Alton Todd is receiving the Golden Eagle Award from Boy Scouts at their annual Boy Scouts’ Breakfast in Friendswood July 13.

The breakfast, which begins at 7:30 a.m., will be held at the Green Event Center in Friendswood and is a fundraiser to support scout activities in the Bay Area Council.

The Master of Ceremonies for this year’s event will be State Senator Larry Taylor.

Keynote speaker will be Judge Lonnie Cox of the 56th District Court of Galveston County.

Past Texas State Bar President Trey Apffel will introduce Todd.

“Over the last several years I have been proud to be involved with the annual Boy Scouts’ Breakfast in Friendswood which helps fund their activities as part of the Bay Area Council,” Todd said. “I am very honored and humbled by this commendation.”

In a career that has spanned over four decades, Todd has accepted an impressive assortment of awards, highlighted with his selection as one of the Top Ten Texas Super Lawyers, an elite list compiled by Texas Monthly.

Admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1971 after earning his law degree at Southern Methodist University, Todd first practiced with a Galveston insurance defense firm, later joining the law firm of Wellborn, Britt and Brown in Alvin, Texas. It was during his 25-year personal injury practice in Alvin that The Law Firm of Alton C. Todd was formed, which moved to Friendswood in 2000.
