City of Pearland meetings are moving to the Public Safety Building (PSB), located at 2555 Cullen Blvd. beginning July 10. This is the result of the City Hall Complex Renovation Project underway.

The renovation is part of the 2015-2019 Capital Improvement Program which renovates City Hall and City Hall Annex. The Annex is the former Community Center.

Meetings in the PSB will not be live streamed. Video of the meetings will play on Pearland TV (Comcast Channel 16 and U-verse Channel 99) and also on the City’s website the day after the meeting is held.

City Council, Planning and Zoning and other city meetings will be conducted at the PSB for approximately six months. The City Manager’s office will be temporarily in the PSB also.

The Annex will permanently house the Finance Department along with Water Billing and Collections. Both groups are moving around July 10. Human Resources and the City Secretary will be temporarily housed in the Annex beginning mid-July.

Capital Projects and Engineering will move temporarily to the Hillhouse facility at 2559 Hillhouse Road.

The City’s Legal Department will move temporarily to the Municipal Court.

The City Hall Complex which comprises City Hall and the former Community Center are over 30 years old and city officials report that mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems no longer function optimally and require frequent repair.

The large renovation project will result in a more efficient modern system that will provide significant operational savings.
