The Well on Master Road in Manvel is again expanding its services to meet the needs of the public. Food Pantry Tuesdays runs from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m. The Well partners with the Houston Food Bank and is located at the Church on Masters Road.

Summertime means more kids are at home with parents or grandparents and the Well wants to provide healthy fruit and vegetable options for its clients in addition to the canned goods, protein, pasta, rice, beans and bread that it now offers on a weekly basis.

In partnership with Houston Food Bank, the Well can provide a produce truck that carries 10 pallets of fresh fruit and or vegetables for Manvel area residents in need of service. The produce delivery involves a cost of $200 and the Well is looking for partners, sponsors, small organizations or individuals who would like to help underwrite this expense. They have committed to delivering this service twice a month starting Tuesday July 11 and 25, Aug. 8 and 22, Sept. 12 and 26, October 10 and 24, Nov.14 and 28 and Dec. 12.

In addition, The Well is recruiting volunteers to help with their expanded delivery. Student volunteers help push grocery carts to the curb and unload and load groceries into clients’ cars. Other volunteers man the tables of food and help to restock and arrange supplies as needed.
