Remodeling debris, old furniture no longer needed, commercial clean-outs, eviction items, yard debris, demolition projects… the list can go on and on when residents are asked what they have that they consider junk.

Help is available in a local business, 4 Alarm Junk Removal. The owner is Pearland Firefighter Chris Chisolm.

Chisolm always wanted to own his own business and noticed that customer service comes naturally to him.
“I’m no stranger to moving/lifting large objects so again it comes natural to me. I enjoy seeing people happy and relieved, this adds to that gratification that I receive by helping someone in need that may not be able or willing to take care of it,” Chisolm said.

His base location is Friendswood where he and his family live. He services a 50 mile radius from there.

“We are a junk removal service, using the term junk loosely. We remove any and all unwanted items that people want to get rid of from the homes, such as remodel debris, people getting new furniture and getting rid of the old, elders passing away and their relatives clearing out their homes,” Chisolm said. “We also do smaller jobs like an old fridge needing to be thrown out. We give free quotes. It’s as simple as calling me and sometimes I can give a quote over the phone, sometimes I ask for pictures.”

At their website, Chisolm lists some of the many items they remove. They cannot take hazardous materials or very large items that require heavy equipment to lift.

Some of the items listed include junk boats and cars, hot tub removal, grills, mowers, shed demolition, above ground pools, old tvs, flooring, carpeting, mattresses, construction clean up and so much more.

Chisolm is a veteran of the United States Air Force and he and his wife Jaime have five children, ages 11, 10, 9, 8 and 2. He is balancing his work with 4 Alarm Junk Removal and his job as a firefighter. It’s all about customer service.

“There are several junk removal companies around but none that are owned and/or operated by local heroes. My niche in the industry is that we are the fire fighters you call when you have an emergency, why wouldn’t we be the guys you call for a much less dire need?” Chisolm said.
