It will be a red carpet event when Hope Village in Friendswood celebrates its 50th anniversary with a Golden Age of Hollywood Gala Aug. 26 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. It’s all part of their fourth annual Hope Lounge Fundraiser hosted by the Foundation for Hope Village.

With movie star impersonators, theme tables, Hollywood classic cars, and cigar girls working the room, the event will offer dinner, signature cocktails, whiskey tasting, red carpet photo ops and more.

It’s black tie optional but gold will definitely be the color for the night.

“It’s going to be top to bottom gold, glittery and Hollywood. From a golden candy dessert buffet to golden tables and more, we plan to have Hollywood hit Friendswood and turn everything to gold,” Director of Community development Kat Clemons said. “There will be red carpet photo ops with props and all and we plan to have Frank, Dean, and Marilyn singing for us.”

Funds raised at Hope Lounge will go toward the Tuition Assistance Program that keeps Hope Village affordable for all families and also pays for Villagers who no longer have families who support them financially.

Sponsorships and tickets to the event are available now.

Ron Carter is the returning Event Sponsor. Other sponsors so far include Cigar Sponsor AMOCO Federal Credit Union; Media Sponsor Clear Lake Today; Dessert Sponsor On the Mark Financial Services; Walk of Fame Sponsor JSC Federal Credit Union; and first table sponsor S.T. Construction.
