“Fiddler on the Roof” tickets are now on sale for the production by Home Grown Theatre of Pearland.
The musical will run Aug. 10-13 at Alvin Community College Theatre at 3110 Mustang Road in Alvin.
Curtain will be 7:30 p.m. Aug. 10-12 and 2:30 p.m. matinee performance Aug. 13.
“Fiddler on the Roof” is the winner of nine Tony Awards, and centers on Tevye, a poor milkman and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores.
Home Grown Theatre is a local organization dedicated to promoting the community and residents through the Performing Arts.
HGT has an experienced, talented and dedicated team of more than 40 people who love the arts and believe in the value of the arts for the community. The group had a Founders’ Drive in May 2017 and Fiddler is their first production.
“In our world of hand-held, personalized screens, it’s easy to lose the personal. Home Grown Theatre invites you to ‘be here now’ to experience live performances where the relationship between the artists and the audience is an intimate part of the art form,” Board Director Johnna Lenamon said.
The musical is in cooperation with ACC. Tickets are $14.98 and can be purchased through the website at www.homegrowntheatre.net. Group rates are available for 10 or more.
