Friendswood residents are invited to step back in time at the 2nd Annual Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social sponsored and hosted by Friends of Downtown Friendswood Association (FDFA) and Friendswood Historical Society on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 4, from 3 – 5 p.m. at the Frank J. Brown Museum located at 108 Skyview Terrace.
Last year’s event drew a crowd of more than 600 adults and children.
Local elected officials, School Board Members and Public Safety Chiefs will be serving Blue Bell ice cream throughout the social. Ice cream toppings, cookies, lemonade and root beer will be provided too.
The crowd will enjoy their cool treats and hear live music which will be played from the front porch of the Museum.
The Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social is family friendly and free to attend. Everyone is sure to enjoy this classic favorite. Everyone is encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs to relax and enjoy the shade trees. The Museum will not be open for tours during the social, but open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
