Friendswood senior citizen program has busy December

December is a busy month for the Senior Citizen program in Friendswood.

Christmas Stocking Decorating and cookies activity is planned for Dec. 6 from 1-2 pm.

A Downtown Columbus Tour is planned for Wednesday Dec. 13 from 8 am to 4 pm. The tour will include the Santa Claus Museum, Opera House, Dilue Rose Harris House, Alley Log Cabin and the War Museum. Lunch will be at Schobel’s.

A special Christmas Program is set for Thursday Dec. 14 from 10:15-11:30 am. Classic Cloggers will provide the entertainment.

In the evening of Dec.14, a group of Seniors will go to the Magical Winter Lights at the former Dog Track in Texas City/La Marque. The event offers a multicultural take on traditional holiday light shows.

Breakfast with Santa is planned for Thursday December 21 at the Senior Activity Building. Sponsored by Whataburger and Brothers Produce, the meal will be served from 9:30 to 11:30 am.

Other December activities include a trip to the Ronald McDonald House and the Pasadena Opry. Hand and Foot tournament, bingo and a Wii Bowling match will also take place. Christmas shopping is also planned.
