Sylvia May Sylvester was born November 6, 1957 in Alvin, TX and went Home to be with Jesus on December 26, 2017 at approximately 7:45 a.m. She worked in the auto parts industry for the majority of her adult career. She had deep love for her animals, children and grandchildren. Sylvia enjoyed her Saturday night boot scoot and buggies, drawing, coloring, bringing stuff home to my brother to fix and her many nights of ping ping.

Sylvia was preceded in Heaven by her parents Dorman Clay Pendleton and Daisy Short-Smith; her sisters Jo Lynn Marshall and Gloria Pendleton.

She is survived by her father A.V Smith; her children, Cassandra Stover, Richard Caddell, Michelle Whitsitt, Timothy Caddell, Amber Pruitt and Jacquelyn Ratcliffe: her children’s spouses, Eric Shutts and Melissa Caddell; her siblings, Vernon Smith, Monique Smith, Clay Anthony Pendleton, Cheryl Pendleton, David Pendelton, Jackie Hays and Brenda Helgren; her 6 grandchildren and her 2 great grandchildren.

Friends are cordially invited to attend a visitation with the family at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, TX 77546, (281) 992-7200, with the funeral service following at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Jerry Stark officiating. Interment will be at 3:00 P.M. at Delhi Cemetery, 6150 State Hwy 304, Rosanky, TX 78953. A Celebration of Life will directly follow the burial at Delhi Cemetery Community Center. Food and beverages will be provided and there will be a short opportunity for the family to speak.
