Denim & Daisies held for area scholarships

Denim & Daisies Dinner/Dance/Live Auction by the Alvin/Pearland Metro Go Texan Committee of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is planned for Feb. 17, from 6:30 p.m. to midnight at the Pearland KC Hall at 2320 Hatfield Road in Pearland.

Music will be provided by the Driftwood Band and both silent and live auctions will be held.

The event will be for adults only ages 21 and older and is BYOB.

Tickets are $50 per person.

Sponsorships include Gold Underwriter for $500, Silver Underwriter for $350 and Bronze Underwriter for $150.

The annual rodeo-friendly event is held to raise scholarship dollars for students of Alvin and Pearland schools. Seniors in both Alvin and Pearland ISDs in May 2017 received over $200,000 in scholarships through the Rodeo’s educational commitment.

The Denim & Daisies Dance is one of many events taking place in the Houston area leading up to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo riding into NRG stadium Feb. 28 through March 18.
