Two performers popular on the independent country scene will be performing at a Relay for Life concert in Alvin this month.

Courtney Patton and Jamie Lin Wilson will perform Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Leitner home in Alvin where Relay for Life concerts have become a regular tour.

Doors open at 5:45 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m. and the concert at 7 p.m. Tickets will be $40 and include dinner. Seating is limited to 80 people.

Seating is determined by payment order either online or by mail so the first ones paying will get the seats closest to the performers.

To reserve seats, send a check to Pam Leitner at 7306 Live Oak Circle in Alvin, TX 77511 or email Leitner to reserve seats at [email protected]

The performers both have released albums and have a large Texas following.

Patton has toured steadily writing songs and performing on stage and on record. Taking on classic country, her first full-length record, “Triggering A Flood,” was released in May 2013 to regional acclaim and her 2015 follow-up, “So This Is Life,” is receiving international feedback.

Wilson’s voice has been described as honeyed tenor twang and her songwriting has been complimented for its poignant, poetic, down to earth point of view. Her first release occurred in 2015 with “Holidays & Wedding Rings,” songs about the sweetness of family life.

Proceeds benefit Relay for Life and according to Leitner, credit will be given any Relay for Life team member attending or selling tickets.
