The Manvel Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association’s first “Be My Valentine” Dinner Date Night was a huge success with the CPAAA selling all the pre-sale tickets for the event.
The holiday event was Saturday, Feb. 10 at the County Line Event Center in Pearland.
Dinner, dancing to a DJ and a silent auction made up the night’s agenda.
Proceeds from the evening will go toward the purchase of needed items by the Manvel Police Department.
“Everyone had a great time,” CPAAA treasurer Nicole Mitchell said. “It was our first time to try this idea and it worked. We are thankful for all who attended and their continual support with our organization.”
The group works closely with Community Officer Tim Underwood.
Officers for CPAAA include Mitchell, President Theadus McClain, Vice President Derek Dalmolin, Secretary Angela Graham, and Fundraising Chair Sophie Hall.
The third class of the academy will start this spring. Dates have not been decided at this time. Information will be posted at the city’s website at www.cityofmanvel.com.
