Registration has begun for the Pearland Rotary Club’s 47th Annual Golf Tournament for Charity on Friday, May 4.
The tournament will take place at Golfcrest Country Club.
The event will have a shotgun start at noon. Registration includes golf and cart, goody bag with promotional items, range balls for practice, lunch, refreshments and awards reception, dinner and auction. Each player will also receive a free subscription to Golf Digest magazine.
The tournament will feature a special Closest to the Hole contest and Fire Ball Challenge sponsored by Farmers-Craig Slater. The guaranteed winner will win a five night Carnival Cruise for two out of Galveston.
There will also be a longest drive contest, tiger drive and putting contest.
Money raised from the tournament will fund a number of local projects including Dare to Excel scholarships for Pearland, Dawson, and Turner High School students, Winter Wonderland Dinner and Dance for local special needs adults, livestock purchases at the Pearland Show from FFA and 4-H students, after school programs’ needs for equipment and supply needs, purchasing and maintaining defibrillators for Pearland Schools, blood drives, Garden Club sponsorship at Pearland Jr. High West, Guerrero Clinic support, Valentine gift deliveries to residents at Windsong Village and Westside Spray Park support.
