Registration is open to sign up as a volunteer to join Keep Pearland Beautiful and Adopt-A-Spot on April 7, to clean up Pearland. It’s all part of the 2018 2nd Quarter Community Clean Up – themed “Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off!”
The clean up event will kick off with breakfast and supply pick up from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Lone Star Pavilion of Centennial Park at 3219 McLean Road in Pearland.
The Lone Star Pavilion is the pavilion adjacent to the splash pad. The entrance to the parking lot is near the intersection of Ryan Acres St. and McLean Road.
Volunteers can register using the online form at http://bit.ly/cleanpearland.
All supply bags and gloves needed for the cleanup will be provided and can be picked up at Centennial Park the day of the cleanup or volunteers can arrange to come by the KPB office in the Stella Roberts Recycling Center ahead of the cleanup.
Everyone participating is encouraged to share their Trash-Off photos using #cleanpearland on Instagram, facebook.com/keeppearlandbeautiful, twitter.com/kpbpearland or email them to Fay Watson ([email protected]).
As with past cleanup events please use online Adopt-A-Spot Cleanup Wrap-Up Report to report how clean ups were. All Adopt-A-Spot groups are required to clean their location at least four times a year, two of which are in conjunction with the semi-annual cleanups, submit their Wrap-Up Report and photos. Participants have until June 30 to complete the wrap-up report.
