Vendors are needed for the Heritage Gardeners “Through the Garden Gate” Spring Tour Saturday, April 28 and Sunday, April 29 from 1 to 5 p.m.

Vendors can start selling their items at 9 a.m. on both dates.

Items and vendor booths will be located at the Marie Workman Garden Center and Briscoe Garden at 112 W. Spreading Oaks Drive in Friendswood.

Vendor costs are $50 for a 10 ft. x 10 ft. space inside the center or a six foot table for outside.

A plant sale will also be at the location along with tickets to the popular annual event that showcases great gardens and landscaping at residences in Friendswood. The Junior Master Gardener program that is part of the Heritage Gardeners will have pressed flower bookmarks that will be sold.

Friendswood residents who would like their home landscaping and gardens to be considered for the Spring Tour should call 281-992-4438.

To be a vendor and receive an application for completion, please contact Janet Fleming at 281-481-3113.

Heritage Gardeners garden club is in its 52nd year and has many opportunities for horticulture and floriculture education and event participation. Work goes on year round in preparation for the club’s Christmas Home Tour (the weekend before Thanksgiving) and the Spring Garden Tour.

Proceeds from these two events support the upkeep of the The Marie Workman Garden Center, Briscoe gardens, program speakers and other activities including a scholarship fund and Junior Master Gardener program.

The club meets the first Thursday of each month, September through May, at 10 a.m. Any interested individual is invited to attend.
