Barbara June Brady Murray died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 31, 2018 in Houston, Texas at the age of 80.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Debbie Wischnewsky and husband Anthony of Pearland; step-daughter Tina Baker and husband Lonnie of La Porte; grandchildren, Lisa Moore and husband Shawn of Friendswood, Monica Teeters and husband Charles of Pearland, Melissa Humphrey and fiancée Jason Murphy of Cedar Park, David Humphrey and partner Stephen Folks of San Diego, California, Keagan Baker and Jaryd Baker of La Porte; great grandchildren, Kylie Wischnewsky, Kadyn and Ashlynn Teeters, Chase Moore, and Dayne Murphy. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Pauline Brady, husband Charles Pouncey, husband Meigs Murray, and daughter Jan Humphrey.
Barbara was born on October 16, 1937 on their family farm in Shelbyville, Texas the only child of Lawrence and Pauline Brady. She worked for the Pasadena school district for 30 years. After retiring she enjoyed traveling, bird watching, shopping and dining out. She was a proud member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Chapter 17 Galveston, Texas.
Friends are cordially invited to attend a visitation with the family from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546, (281) 992-7200.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Coward officiating.
She will be returned home for burial with graveside services at Oaklawn Cemetery in Center, Texas on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 1:00P.M.
Pallbearers will include Anthony Wischnewsky, Shawn Moore, Charles Teeters, Kadyn Teeters, Chase Moore and David Humphrey.
The family would like to thank her caregivers at Windsong Care Center in Pearland for their love and dedication to fulfilling her needs over the last 16 months.
