Clyde Lee Wright, 79, of Pearland, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018. Clyde was born on August 25, 1938 in Springfield, Missouri to parents Victor and Ione (Stuessy) Wright.
Clyde attended the Webster First Baptist Church near his home. He was baptized in the Miami Shores First Baptist Church in Miami Shores, Florida and was a member there for many years. Clyde proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard. He loved football, was a Civil War buff, and a good handyman. He could always be counted on to handle the “honey-do” or “Daddy-do” list that was given to him. Gardening was one of his favorite pastimes, as he had a green thumb and could grow just about anything. He loved being outdoors doing something-always busy. Clyde was admired for his work ethic and integrity. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, Victor Albert Wright and Ione Stuessy Wright; and brother, Keith Albert Wright.
He is survived by his wife, Paleta Mae Russell Wright; daughters, Cheryl Lee Wright and Kimberly Anne Pate (Mike); sisters, Yvonne Hunter (Bob) and Beverly Sue Lacey (Bill); and several nieces and nephews.
