National Prescription Drug Take Back Day will be part of Pearland this year.

Take Back One RX Drug at a Time event will be Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Pearland and Alvin.

Drop off locations will be at Stella Roberts Recycling Center at 5800 Magnolia and at Reflection Bay Park at Shadow Creek at 12115 South Clear Lake Loop, both in Pearland and the Alvin Police Department at 1500 S. Gordon Street in Alvin.

As a collaborative effort, the Brazoria County Community Coalition, will sponsor this opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted, unused and expired medications.

All prescription and non-prescription drugs are accepted in a drive through collection process and disposed of properly.

Liquids or needles will not be accepted.

All items can be left in the original packaging and do not have to emptied in a ziplock. The RX does not have to be in the disposer’s name and no questions will be asked about how the drugs came into possession.

Non-liquid over the counter drugs including vitamins are accepted also.
