A call to artists is being made at this time for the upcoming 9th annual Art in the Park in Friendswood this fall. The event is sponsored by nonprofit organization, Friendswood Fine Arts.

The popular annual event is held in Stevenson Park on S. Friendswood Drive and offers many art media vendors as well as entertainment, live demonstrations and food.

Art registration has opened at www.aitpfestival.com. Artists are advised to register early to ensure placement. The show has continued to grow each year and early registration is best.

Eligible media include acrylics, oils, watercolors, pastels, drawings, metalwork, jewelry, printmaking, photography, digital art, sculpture, installations, wood, glass, ceramics, fiber art and mixed media.

Based on category availability, some media categories will have a limited number of available entries. Category closures will be placed online with frequent updates to the site.

Registration closes at midnight on July 1.

Art in the Park will take place Nov. 17-18.
