The Pearland Neighborhood Center hosted the annual PNC Forum recently in their board room on Texas Avenue in Pearland.
This event was attended by Brazoria County area non-profits and other non-profits that operate and support the needs of Pearland residents.
“Referrals is one of the major services that is provided by the Pearland Neighborhood Center,” Center Manager Debbie Rubestello said. This year’s PNC Forum Directory was printed and donated by Minuteman Press of Pearland. The only criteria to be listed in the directory is to attend one of the forums.
Naomi Stevens, a founding director, introduced Mayor Tom Reid and served as chairman of the forum.
Each of the representatives were given several minutes to stand before the group to introduce their organization and share the services that they provide to the community. All participants were encouraged to bring brochures and business cards to give out.
At the end of the forum, groups had opportunities to network with other attendees. This year’s lunch was provided by H. E. B. of Pearland.
The center was founded in 1987 as a United Way Agency and continues to aid the Pearland community and surrounding areas with services and resources in Disaster Relief, Financial Stability Courses, School Supply Vouchers, Santa’s Helpers, Rent Assistance, Clothing, Baby Pantry, Bread and Food Pantry, Utility Assistance, The Pearland Forum, Emergency Assistance, GED Scholarships to thousands each year.
