Eva Lee (Henson) Tobola, 86, of Houston, TX passed peacefully to the Lord on Monday, May 21, 2018. Eva was born on February 19, 1932 in Jasper, TX to parents Aquilar and Lillie (Cook) Henson.
Eva Tobola was an adventurer who prospected for copper in Alaska; an entrepreneur who owned and operated a shrimp boat and a liquor store; a wife, mother and grandmother who will always be remembered for her zest for living and acapella singing of limericks. The best dressed resident of the nursing home, she snagged as her boyfriend the only male that was ambulatory.
She was predeceased in death by her husband, Donald E. Tobola, Sr. and survived by children Norman D. Eddings, Sandra Eddings Ray and Virginia Eddings Hilton; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild with another on the way; also nine grand-dogs.
Visitation with will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, May 28, 2018 at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546, (281) 992-7200, with a celebration of life following at 11:00 A.M, Dr. Michael Ray officiating.
Interment will be at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Crane’s Mill Cemetery, 1328 Highview St., Canyon Lake, TX 78133.
