Election worker volunteers are needed for the June 16 Runoff Election in Pearland. The City of Pearland and Brazoria County are looking for election worker volunteers to create an Early Voting Ballot Board.
The Early Voting Ballot Board generally meets several times during an election.
Activities of the group include the following: First, the Board meets to qualify ballots by mail or after the last day to vote early by personal appearance and secondly the Board meets after Election Day to review any provisional ballots and to qualify any mail-in ballots received by the 5th day after the election from voters casting a ballot from outside the country.
To qualify to serve, volunteers must have the following qualifications: be a qualified registered voter in the City of Pearland, be able to serve during the day, be available weekdays before the Election, be available on Saturday Election Day, be available during the week after Election Day and have transportation to go to the County Clerk’s Office in Angleton.
Anyone interested in being part of the election process should complete and submit the contact form on the City of Pearland website at www.pearlandtx.gov.
The City Secretary’s Office will contact applicants regarding service on the Board.
