Celebration of Freedom planned for July 4

The City of Pearland is gearing up for their annual Celebration of Freedom event celebrating the country’s birthday on July 4. Events will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. at Pearland High School Football Stadium at 3775 S. Main in Pearland.

The evening will begin with a military salute and the National Anthem both on the H-E-B Entertainment Stage. Live music will be provided by The Slags.

At sundown, a spectacular fireworks display hosted by Westside Veterinary Hospital will be held with all views for those attending inside the stadium. Food and glow trinkets will be available for purchase. Parking and seating are free of charge.

A free shuttle will be provided by parking at Turner Career and College High School, 4719 Bailey Road.

A variety of food vendors and food trucks selling treats and beverages will be available as well as craft and novelty vendors.

For health and safety reasons, pets are not allowed at this event, with the exception of service animals. Smoking and alcohol are prohibited.

Outside food and drinks are allowed.
