Mary Tabor

Mary Tabor was born in 1946 in Lincoln, Nebraska, and died June 27, 2018, at The Cottages at Clear Lake in League City. She married Farris Tabor on August 10, 1968, and was a longtime resident of Friendswood.

Mary received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from The Dominican College of Houston in 1967. She taught English in the late 1960s. She was also employed by Texaco and Sherwin Williams. She also enjoyed wallpapering.

Mary loved animals and socializing, especially with family and fellow Christians. She was a Bible student and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1981. Serving Jehovah God was an important part of her life. Mary had strong faith in God and his promise of a resurrection. She was a sweet, kind person who enjoyed helping others. She will be missed.

Mary is survived by her husband, Farris, and sons, James and wife Goldie Tabor and Stephen Tabor. Also by her sisters: Kathleen Shearer, Joan Bryant, and Patricia Riley, and her brothers: James Kersey, Edward Kersey, Richard Kersey, Michael Kersey, Robert Kersey, and Randy Unger. She also has two grandsons and one granddaughter.
