Harvest Fest offers fun for all ages

Harvest Fest in Friendswood will be Saturday, Oct. 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church at 1207 W. Winding Way Dr. The Friendswood community is invited and events are planned for all ages.

Activities include a cake walk, silent auction, pumpkin decorating, bounce house and slide, car bash, pony rides, petting zoo, unique car display and a miniature train.

Vendors will also be on site with jewelry, jams, baked goods, candied pecans, quilts, homemade items, carved items and works of at as well as holiday themed items.

Food trucks will offer a range of food from American to Cajun to desserts.

A silent auction will offer items from wines to home décor, trips and experiences.

A variety of music will be offered all day and performers include Mexican Folkloric dancers, School of Rock and Pop Star Performers.

All proceeds will benefit the children and youth ministries at Good Shepherd.

“This event is for the entire Friendswood community. It will be for children, youth, teens, adults and seniors,” Harvest Fest Chair Nancy Bradley said.
