Volunteers are needed for the 2018 Fall Sweep, the 4th Quarter Community Clean Up sponsored by Keep Pearland Beautiful. The annual litter clean up, breakfast and supply pick up are all scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 10 from 7:30 to 9 a.m.

KPB members and the Adopt a Spot volunteers will also be participating. All volunteers not associated with an Adopt a Spot will be assigned to their own area or added to a group.

The day will begin at the Lone Star Pavilion of Centennial Park at 3219 McLean Road in Pearland. This is the pavilion adjacent to the splash pad. KPB reports the parking lot is near the intersection of Ryan Acres St. and McLean.

All bags and gloves need for clean up will be provided. They can be picked up at the park the day of the clean up or volunteers can stop by the KPB office in the Stella Roberts Recycling Center before Nov. 10.

All Adopt a Spot groups are required to clean their location at least four times a year, two of which are during the semi-annual cleanups.

As volunteers finish, they will place their bags next to the Adopt a Spot signs.

All volunteers should complete the online wrap up report by Dec. 31, to report how the clean up event was for them.

Photos of the clean up can be shared by using #cleanpearland on Instagram, KPB’s page on Facebook or twitter.com/kpbpearland.
