It’s time to clean out garages, backyards and households to be ready for the upcoming clean up activity. Fall Haul, is city wide and includes a garage sale for Friendswood.

The bi-annual event runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Centennial Park at 2200 S. Friendswood Drive and sponsored by Keep Friendswood Beautiful.

The clean up event is open to Friendswood residents with identification that would be proof of residence.

Large and small items that will be accepted that day at the fall event include tree limbs, grass clippings, old appliances, old furniture, unwanted wood, metal, and plastic.

Shredding services will be available from 8 a.m. to noon or until the truck is full. A limit of 200 lbs. of paper per vehicle will be enforced. Items not able to be shredded include 3-ring binders, cardboard, floppy disks, hanging file folders, newspaper, microfiche and video tapes.

Garage sale items can be dropped off from 8 a.m. to noon. Items that KFB members will be accepting include furniture, household items, bikes, and other sale items in good condition. Clothing will not be accepted. All money from the garage sale will be used for beautification projects for city facilities and parks.

Wildlife rehab workers appreciate any items that they can use for animals including aquariums, dog and cat carriers, clean rags and shallow crock bowls.
