The 2018 Home for the Holidays Christmas Lighted Parade in Friendswood will be Saturday, Dec. 8. The Friendswood Chamber of Commerce hosts the event.

The parade route will begin on Heritage Drive and end at Stevenson Park for the Santa in the Park festivities.

The 11th Annual Santa in the Park Christmas Celebration will take place in the park from 3 to 8 p.m. The event is hosted by the City of Friendswood and Keep Friendswood Beautiful with title sponsor HomeTown Bank.

This year’s events include photos with Santa, carnival rides, Holiday Market, and continuing entertainment. Admission to the park and live entertainment is free. Wristbands will be on sale for the amusement rides such as snow hill slides, rock wall, bungee jumps, petting zoo, mechanical bull, interactive inflatable moonwalks, train rides and face painting. Children ages 2 and under are free.

The event concludes with the lighting of a 20-foot Christmas tree. A fireworks extravaganza follows the lighting.

The event is expected to have record crowds due to its popularity.
