KPB to give away trees for Arbor Day

Keep Pearland Beautiful will give away eight different varieties of native trees at their Arbor Day Tree Giveaway event at the Stella Roberts Recycling Center on Saturday, Jan. 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or when all trees are given away. There is a two tree per household limit.

The trees include cedar elm, overcup oak, loblolly pine, southern magnolia, native persimmon, Chickasaw plum, eastern redbud and red maple.

KPB is encouraging a suggested donation of $10 per tree.

Trees for Houston is sponsoring tree event.

The recycling center is located at 5800 Magnolia St. in Pearland.
