The FISD Education Foundation (FEF) hosted its annual gala Feb. 16, at the Marriott Marquis in downtown Houston.
The theme was “New York, New York” and with elaborate sets and designs filling the Texas Ballroom, guests felt like they had travelled to the Big Apple for a night of star studded fun as well as a beneficial night impacting all students in Friendswood ISD.
“With over 60 silent auction items and 14 live auction items, auction chairs Niki Rhodes and Suzanne Banfield did an amazing job… the FISD education foundation is thankful to not only its hard working directors but to the community and supporters who help support the students in FISD through their generosity making tonight possible,” FEF Executive Director Paige Ridout said. “Our biggest supporter of this magical night won a trip to Italy. This is the foundations largest fund raiser to help support the students in FISD.”
The FEF gala co-chairs Molly Crow and Leslie Yarbrough worked for several months with committee members Emily Bryant, Cindy Lewis, Jamie Hill, Suzanne Banfield, Tracy Hopkins, Charlotte Hall, Janet Wagner, CC Newkirk, Joseph Ditta, and Brad Freyer.
The FEF is also currently hosting its annual Adopt a Grant program which will continue open until March 8. Several hundred have already been purchased.
