Alvin Sunrise Rotary Club consists of 33 dedicated individuals who share the same service above self mindset, according to member Kinsey Droege.
All proceeds from their two day festival are donated right back into the community through various organizations.
Some of their work includes purchasing show animals from Brazoria County Fair and Alvin ISD Second Chance Auction to then take the meat and donate it all to the Alvin Food Pantry.
“We donate over $25,000 in scholarships to Alvin ISD seniors and Alvin Community College students to further their education, and we enjoy supporting local youth sports teams,” Droege said. “Other ways that our club has given back is we built a new fence around the Outdoor Learning Center, we have built over 30 picnic tables for the Alvin Parks and Recreation Department, and donated funds to organizations such as Brazoria County Alliance for Children, COAT Coalition, and many many more.”
Briscoe Park is located at 3201 S. Hwy. 35 in Alvin.
