School board discusses delivery of eight projects

A discussion of project delivery plans for eight additional bond projects was held at the Pearland ISD Board meeting March 5.

At the Feb. 12 meeting, the PISD board approved the eight projects for implementation with unused bond funds.

Bond and maintenance staffs developed a project delivery plan designating project responsibilities and timelines that was presented to the board at the March meeting.

Projects to be completed by August 2019 include replacement of the Lawhon Elementary School roof, classroom security hardware, HVAC equipment replacement, and replacement of Turner College & Career High School and junior high fire alarms.

In December 2019, the district plans to have two projects completed, security film at exterior glass and lockdown buttons.

The Rig press box expansion and Rig façade are the last of the projects and plans for completion date August 2020.

The eight projects total $2,300,000.
