Events, job openings happening in Manvel

Coffee with a Cop will be held on Friday, March 29 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Big Horn BBQ. The community is invited to come out to visit with officers from the Manvel Police Department.

In other Manvel news, the Municipal Court has several resources available to teach both young and old about the way the city judicial system works. The materials include reading books, calendars and coloring books. All of these resources are free to the public.

The Manvel Police Department is looking to fill open positions within the patrol division. All qualified applicants are asked to complete the employment application and submit it to the police department. Applications can be submitted in person or through the email address [email protected]

The police department will conduct testing for three patrol positions on March 28. Contact Detective Sergeant Anthony Meshell at 281-489-1212 for further information or to get an application.

Plans are underway for the second annual Manvel Eggstravaganza.

The fun event will be April 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Croix Park at 4623 County Road 84 in Manvel. Over 20,000 eggs, games, music, face painting and more will be part of the event. The Easter egg hunt will be sponsored in part by the Manvel Community Outreach.
