Pearland’s Bike Rodeo will be Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pearland Recreation Center and Natatorium.
The bike rodeo is free for children and teens up to 15 years of age. The rodeo is held to promote, share and educate the area youth on bicycle safety.
The bike rodeo is held to teach children basic bicycle handling skills and traffic concepts that will help them safely operate their bicycle and avoid the most common types of crashes.
Participants should bring their bike and helmet to the event.
Daryl Catching of Pearland Bicycles will be at this year’s event to help with safety checks and any quick adjustments participants may need.
Participants will take part in a variety of rotations, with valuable information about bike safety at each area. The rotations are estimated to be completed in 1.5 hours by each participant.
The annual event is sponsored by the Pearland Police Department and the City of Pearland. Pearland Recreation Center & Natatorium is located at 4141 Bailey Rd. in Pearland.
