Manvel City Council members cancelled their May 4 general election and declared the two candidates running unopposed to be elected by acclamation. This took place at a City Council Special Called Meeting Feb. 27 at City Hall.
Daniel William Davis, Jr. is serving in Council Position 4 and incumbent Jerome Hudson in Council Position 6.
Manvel voters will have two positions on the May 4 election ballot for Alvin ISD trustees.
The candidates listed on the ballot include the following:
Paul Needham and Tiffany Wennerstrom are both running for Trustee Position 4.
Nicole Tonini and Annetta “Twin Moms” Murray are running for Trustee Position 5.
Early voting will take place beginning Monday, April 22 and run through April 30 for the AISD positions.
Manvel voters can vote at the following locations: Manvel North Annex at 7313 Corporate Dr.; Pearland Westside Library at 2803 Business Center Dr. #101; Tom Reid Library at 3522 Liberty Drive; and Westside Event Center at 2150 Countryplace Pkwy.; Alvin Library at 105 S. Gordon; East Annex (Old Walmart) at 1524 E. Mulberry Room 144 in Angleton; Freeport Library at 410 Brazosport Blvd.; Lake Jackson Library at 250 Circle Way; Manvel North Annex at 7313 Corporate Dr.; Sweeny Community Center at 205 W. Ashley Wilson Rd.; and West Columbia Precinct 4 Building at 121 N. 10th St., Building 2.
