Manvel Mayor proclaims Flood Awareness Week

Mayor Debra Davison proclaimed May 20-24 as Flood Awareness Week in Manvel at the May 20 meeting of the Manvel City Council.

Council held a workshop session on drainage requested by Councilmember Larry Akery.

In the council’s regular agenda, the resolution of the city acknowledging review of bond application and giving consent to the sale and issuance of bonds and refunding bond by Sedona Lakes Municipal Utility District No. 1 of Brazoria County was considered.

The first of two readings was given on an ordinance which established the zoning classification of land annexed into the city by Ordinance No. 2014-0-09 providing for the revision of the city’s official zoning map.

Council also considered approving the Utility Conveyance and Security Agreement between the City of Manvel and Brazoria County MUD #61 for conveyance of the City of Manvel Wastewater Treatment Facility No. 1 Expansion.

In Consent Agenda, council approved amending the plat of Lucky Jupiter Inc and a final plat of Yanni Palms, Section One.
