Pearland sets date for runoff election

The City of Pearland will have a runoff election June 8 for Pearland City Council Position 1.

The runoff election was approved and a date set at the Pearland City Council special meeting on May 13.

Derrell Isenberg and Luke Orlando are running in the election for the position.

The two received the top two percentages of the votes with neither receiving 50 percent or greater.

Early voting will take place May 28 through June 4 by personal appearance in Pearland East at Tom Reid Library at 3522 Liberty Dr., at Westside Event Center at 2150 Countryplace Pkwy. in Pearland West, and at Pearland Westside Library at 2803 Business Center Dr., #101 in the Shadow Creek area.

Voters in Pearland may vote at any of the locations.

From May 28 to May 31, the voting locations will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Saturday June 1 and Monday and Tuesday, June 3 and 4, voting locations will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The official election day is June 8 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
