The project entails sourcing, procuring, consolidating, tracking, contract growing, maintaining, and transporting plant material by a qualified plant sourcing agent and grower. The plant materials include, but are not limited to, oleander, magnolias, live oaks, Texas redbuds, crape myrtles, and cedar elms. Delivery of plant material shall be coordinated with the general contractor to be selected later in 2019. The delivery of the plant material shall be distributed throughout mid-2020 to 2021. The project also requires periodic reporting that includes color photography of plant material inventory, maintenance logs, monitoring and inspection of the plants provided. Certificates of Plant Health from source nurseries will also be required.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Pearland Economic Development Corporation (the “Corporation”) will hold a public hearing to consider the use of sales tax proceeds from the levy of the one-half of one percent sales and use tax, approved by the voters of the City of Pearland  (the “City”) on January 21, 1995.   The public hearing will take place at 5:00 p.m. on June 27, 2019 at 3519 Liberty Drive, Suite 350, Pearland, Texas.

Sales tax proceeds will be used for Projects, as part of the Corporation’s fiscal year 2019-2020 budget that includes land, buildings, equipment, facilities, expenditures, targeted infrastructure and improvements that are for the creation and retention of primary jobs. Proposed project types include: manufacturing and industrial facilities, research and development facilities, transportation facilities, distribution centers, regional and national corporate headquarter facilities and small warehouse and storage facilities.  Sales tax proceeds will also be used for promotional expenses to new and expanding businesses, open space improvements, infrastructure and transportation improvements, recreational or community facilities, job training, debt obligations, administrative expenses and other improvements or facilities related to any of the foregoing projects.

Notice is hereby given that, at a meeting on May 16, 2019, the Board of Directors of Harris-Brazoria Counties Municipal Utility District No. 509 (“District”) adopted a Resolution Establishing Rules and Regulations Regarding Use of District Facilities (“Resolution”), providing rules and regulations governing the use of the District’s detention ponds and drainage facilities.  Violation of any of the rules or regulations contained in the Resolution will subject the violator to a fine of up to $10,000 per violation.
