Company have begun signing up for the annual Business Expo and Taste of the Town, scheduled this year on Oct. 3 at The Knights of Columbus Hall in Alvin.
Hosted by the Alvin-Manvel Area Chamber of Commerce, the expo is 2 to 7 p.m. with the theme, “Game On!”
More than 1,200 guests are expected to make their way around a game board through board-game-themed booths sporting colors, props and costumes from favorites such as Monopoly, Sorry! Life and Candyland.
The Chamber in 2012 added the “Taste of the Town” element to the expo, inviting restaurants around the region to bring their signature or most unique dishes for guests to sample. Restaurant samples are strategically placed throughout the expo to encourage interaction with exhibitors and keep foot traffic flowing smoothly.
For businesses and organizations interested in a booth, an orientation is planned Sept. 5 to help them prepare booths and get the most out of the event.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to acquire new clients and grow your business by meeting customers face to face,” says Lynsie Archie Events and Marketing Coordinator for the Chamber.
The orientation will be the second of two sessions, the first took place Thursday to review the day’s schedule, what to expect and included tips on how to make a booth stand out, along with a question-and-answer period.
For more information about the Expo or to sign up for the orientation, call 281-331-3944, email [email protected] or visit the Chamber offices in person at 105 W. Willis, Alvin.
