Back by popular demand, the 2nd Annual Tri-a-little-thon, will be held September 21, 2019 with an 8 am check in at the Delores Fenwick Nature Center.
The event is considered the race with no excuses and is hosted by the Forever Parks Foundation of Pearland and Parks & Recreation.
Teams of two compete in three obstacles in order to be crowned Tri-a-little-thon Champions. This year, obstacles will include a floating mug club, a friendly tandem bike ride and the upright caterpillar crawl.
The mug club has competitors fill a mug in water gun style, the tandem event has the two team members riding a bicycle together and the crawl involves a leisurely plank walk for more team bonding.
All participants receive a t-shirt and customized mug.
There is also a VIP category for those who want to participate without competing.
Cost of competing is $60 per team or $30 per person. VIP tickets are $60.
Music and food trucks will be at the event. Adult beverages will be served to legal participants. Bakfish Brewing Co, of Pearland will provide drink tickets again this year.
Teams of two required, ages 14+ and space is limited so register now. Crazy team names are optional.
The Parks and Rec Department need volunteers to assist with the event. Anyone interested should go to the volunteers page in the Parks and Recreation Department on the City of Pearland website, www.pearlandtx.gov.
The Forever Parks Foundation of Pearland assists the Parks & Recreation Department by building strong community relationships to aid in raising substantial funding and the development of additional resources to enhance the Department’s ability to provide recreational opportunities to the Pearland community, according to the Foundation website.
